The Northern Counties Pony Association was formed in 1964 with a small number of branches, this has now risen to 9, covering an area from Cumbria and Durham in the North down to Shropshire and Leicester in the South and including most counties in between.
The Associations ten Branches are Cheshire, Cumbria, Derbyshire, Lancashire,
Leicestershire & Rutland, Maelor & Shropshire, Nottingham & Lincolnshire, Staffordshire, and Yorkshire. Each branch elects three representatives to sit on the
committee of the parent body, the General Council. If you would like to get more involved why
not apply to be a delegate?
On joining the NCPA, members can choose one of the nine Branches to which their membership
will be attached. Most Branches hold a number of shows and events each year. These vary as each
Branch is responsible for its own calendar of events and functions. Every member of the NCPA is
entitled to reduced entry fees at all of the various NCPA Shows. This website will provide you with everything you need to
know from how to join, show dates, qualifiers, how to become a Judge and much more.

The NCPA Training Awards.......
The NCPA Training Awards are a wonderful opportunity for members to
win a Bursary to be used for an equestrian course or training scheme at an
establishment approved by the Northern Counties Pony Association.
The recipients of the Awards will be chosen from those members attending one of the training clinics
organised by the NCPA. These Awards are available to all members. To Qualify for this monetary award
you must attend one of the clinics run by NCPA where our designated trainers will pick someone who
they feel will most benefit from further tuition.
IT COULD BE YOU!
Remember to look out for the dates of the training clinics in your newsletters
and book your place - it is as simple as that!
